About Us
Our strength lies not only in the words we stand by but, most importantly, through the actions of our initiatives. Back in 2005, it was realized that by working together we could overcome our challenges much more efficiently, and that is why we ultimately decided to relaunch an art organization, now the Tell City Regional Arts (Association) - TCRA.
TCRA is a non-profit that sponsors and participates in various arts and crafts, music, theater, and other art-related events in our region. Our group of passionate and dedicated volunteers partner with local organizations, businesses, and communities to strengthen and connect people of all ages through local art activities and events including: mural projects, theater, movies and music in the park, and workshops, we offer something for everyone!
Our goals include encouraging artisans and help promote community involvement with various art events; offer artisans with the opportunity to meet and share ideas through coordinated local art activities; and continue to enhance our youth through art, music, and theater.
It is essential for our youth to be exposed to art as it provides a creative outlet, which enables them to receive life-long educational benefits both in and outside of the classroom. Art, music, or theater can enhance and improve critical-thinking, language and reading skills, build confidence, and can foster a sense of cultural awareness in kids.
TCRA partners with various types of non-art organizations that provides a mutual reputation for being more effective in their community. These partnering efforts also increase community involvement such as to help engage artists, the public or students through their participation.
