Great things are coming

SOON

PHASE 1 | Patio Demo and Reno
Phase 1 of this project is funded, and is under contract with Jasper Lumber General Contracting, ready to begin in Spring 2026.

From decay to YAY! Music and entertainment made possible from a revitalized, green space patio!

Phase One of this larger multi-million dollar project, the creation of a new community arts center, starts with a stunning open air, green space patio located at the corner of Tell + 12th St, directly across from Tell City Jr.-Sr. High School.

The site currently consists of a deteriorating building and overgrown lot, contributing to neighborhood blight. The Tell City Regional Arts Association plans to transform the existing buildings into a vibrant cultural hub featuring gallery space, classrooms, performance and program space, and a small black box theater. The center will serve as a catalyst for downtown revitalization and youth engagement, providing accessible arts education and programming for residents across the region. Primary partners include the Tell City Regional Arts Association, local schools, and community arts advocates.

→ We are asking for YOUR help to transform the decaying structure to a breezy oasis which can host live music, vendor markets, and more!

PHASE 2 - 4

Pending funds for the purchase of the lot and renovation donations, TCRA plans to revitalize the historic car garage into a stunning, industrial chic gallery featuring a classroom, pottery studio, blackbox theater and a lobby full of handmade, local art for sale.

We are in the application stage and have a pending Intent to Purchase with the land owner. Donations to secure the property are accepted at any time. TCRA has submitted an application for READI 2.0 funds from the state, and are awaiting more news regarding that decision.

Renovation funding is going to be a combination of in-kind, private and public matches. TCRA will be applying for 1.8 million dollars in Lily Endowment / Arts and Culture funds to finish off this project.

A portion of the funds from Summer of 2025 crowdsourcing donations went towards architecturally accurate schematic floorplans from Universal Design in Ferdinand. These documents show TCRA's earnest efforts to move the project along, and provide valuable information which will be used in phases 2-4 of the project's plan.

Projected facade update, all designs shown are subject to change.

The new facility will house a musical lesson rental office for local musicians and their students. It will be sound proof and will host a piano. Guitar and other lessons could also take place here.
